The results published in the journal Nutrition and Cancer showed that this plant induced cell death in breast cancer. The essential oil of this plant can kill 98% of the breast cancer in vitro in people after 72 hours of treatment. The oil was at concentration of 0.05%, and at 0.01% the oil killed about 40% of the cancerous cells.
There have been other studies that included this plant and showed that the oil is also working against oral and ovarian cancer.
